What is RoHS?

RoHS stands for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive. It restricts the use of specific hazardous materials in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment.

Are dynamic braking transistors standard on AS3 drives?

Yes, dynamic braking transistors are standard on the following models:

  • 230 V units up to 50 HP Heavy Duty (HD) / 60 HP Normal Duty (ND)
  • 460 V units up to 100 HP HD / 125 HP ND
  • 460 V 250 HP HD / 350 HP ND model

All other AS3 models require the dynamic braking transistor option to be installed.

What are the NEMA® and IP enclosure ratings for the AS3?

  • 230 V, Heavy Duty (HD): NEMA 1 / IP20 up to 50 HP; IP00 above 50 HP
  • 230 V, Normal Duty (ND): NEMA 1 / IP20 up to 60 HP; IP00 above 60 HP
  • 460 V, Heavy Duty (HD): NEMA 1 / IP20 up to 100 HP; IP00 above 100 HP
  • 460 V, Normal Duty (ND): NEMA 1 / IP20 up to 125 HP; IP00 above 125 HP
