Toshiba Launches the 1610XPi Series UPS, Expanding Single-Phase Power Protection Portfolio

New single-phase UPS combines true double-conversion technology, unity power factor performance, and galvanic isolation in a compact design.

HOUSTON, Texas, August 27, 2026 – Toshiba International Corporation’s Power Electronics Division today announced the launch of the Toshiba 1610XPi Series UPS, a new single-phase uninterruptible power system designed to help organizations protect critical equipment and support operational continuity in demanding environments. Available in 6kVA and 10kVA models, the 1610XPi Series strengthens Toshiba’s growing portfolio of critical power solutions for applications that require resilient, high-performance power protection. Combining true online double-conversion technology, unity power factor performance, and integrated galvanic isolation in a versatile design, the new platform supports mission-critical applications across industrial, commercial, telecom, retail, and IT environments.

“The launch of the 1610XPi Series marks the next step in the evolution of Toshiba’s single-phase UPS offerings and reinforces our commitment to providing customers with innovative and dependable critical power solutions,” said Greg Mack, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Power Electronics Division, Toshiba International Corporation. “As we continue to expand our portfolio, the 1610XPi is designed to deliver the flexibility, performance, and reliability organizations need to support today’s critical operations while preparing for future growth.”

A key differentiator of the 1610XPi Series is its integrated isolation transformer, which provides galvanic isolation between the input and output. This design helps reduce electrical noise, provides grounding flexibility, limits fault current, and enhances electrical separation between utility power and connected equipment. These capabilities make the system well-suited for locations with challenging power conditions.
