FAQs

How many inputs and outputs are standard on the AS3?

The AS3 includes the following standard inputs and outputs:

  • Digital Inputs:
    Eight programmable digital inputs (F, R, RES, S1, S2, S3, S4, S5)
  • Relay Outputs:
    • One programmable Form C relay output (FLA/FLB/FLC)
    • Two programmable Form A relay outputs (R1A/R1C, R2A/R2C)
  • Digital Outputs:
    • One programmable open-collector digital output (FP), pulse‑train capable
  • Analog Inputs:
    • Three programmable inputs:
      • II: 4–20 mA
      • RR: 0–10 VDC
      • RX: ±10 VDC
  • Analog Outputs:
    • Two programmable outputs (FM, AM), configurable as 4–20 mA or 0–10 VDC
  • Safety:
    • Embedded Safe Torque Off (STO) safety terminal

How many dry contacts are standard?

The AS3 provides the following dry-contact outputs as standard:

  • One programmable Form C relay output (FLA/FLB/FLC)
  • Two programmable Form A relay outputs (R1A/R1C, R2A/R2C)
  • One programmable open‑collector digital output (FP), pulse‑train capable

Are communication protocols embedded in the AS3?

Yes. Modbus RTU, EtherNet/IP®, and Modbus® TCP are embedded as standard.

The AS3 includes two built-in dual-port EtherNet/IP® ports, enabling daisy‑chain network topologies and reducing the need for external Ethernet switches.
