The LF516 Capacitance Sanitary electromagnetic flow meter is designed for demanding hygienic applications and offers an exclusive ultra-low conductivity specification of 0.01 µS/cm at flow rates up to 9.84 ft/s. This makes it suitable for both standard and ultra-low conductivity service.
Featuring a gap- and crevice-free design, the LF516 is well-suited for high slurry concentrations, as well as abrasive, adhesive, or corrosive fluids. Its smooth, unibody construction supports clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) protocols while minimizing potential contamination points.
At the heart of the LF516 is Toshiba’s proprietary Float-N-Place™ ceramic liner, engineered specifically for severe slurry environments. Unlike conventional ceramic flow meters, the liner is mounted entirely within the flow tube, with no external protrusions. This design greatly reduces the risk of breakage caused by accidental impacts or thermal stress.
With a thermal shock tolerance of 302 °F (150 °C) in just 0.5 seconds, the LF516 outperforms traditional locked-in-place liners, delivering robust performance in dynamic sanitary processing conditions.
