What is Silicon Carbide (SiC)?

Silicon carbide (SiC) is a wide band gap semiconductor material with a significantly larger energy band gap than conventional silicon. This property enables operation at higher switching frequencies, higher temperatures, and higher voltages.

SiC devices are widely used in demanding applications such as electric vehicles (EV), photovoltaic (PV) systems, and industrial power electronics, where efficiency, power density, and thermal performance are critical.
