Designed to increase safety, reliability, and uptime.
HOUSTON, TX – July 11, 2023 – Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) introduces the new Arc-Resistant JK (AR-JK) Motor Control Center, designed with safety in mind. Utilizing advanced technology, high quality materials, and structural design, the AR-JK effectively mitigates the risks and costs associated with an arc fault by working to contain and divert arc-related explosions. The AR-JK effectively mitigates the risks and costs associated with an arc fault by working to contain and divert arc-related explosions. Its design offers increased protection around the entire perimeter of the AR-JK, including instances when the low voltage compartment is open and under maintenance. The AR-JK uses an advanced pressure relief system designed to redirect arc blasts safely with reinforced doors, sides and end covers increase the AR-JK’s ability to withstand the explosion of an arc fault safely.
Unmatched Design Features:
- Type 2B Accessibility
- Insulated Main Bus
- Modular, Pre-Assembled Exhaust Plenum
- Advanced Pressure Relief System
- Reinforced Structural Design
- Bolted Pressure Isolation Switch
Premium Safety Standards:
• Doors and covers do not open in the event of an arc fault.
• Objects (parts) that exceed 60g in size are not expelled due to an arc fault.
• Arcing will not cause any holes to burn through the enclosure on the front, sides, or rear.
• To avoid a potential fire hazard, burn indicators do not ignite as a result of escaping gases or particles.
• All grounding connections must remain intact.
