FAQs

What is a typical in-person class schedule?

Typically, in-person training classes are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with an hour lunch break. Training instructors may adjust classes schedules based on the needs of the students.  Toshiba’s West Little York facility opens at 7:50 AM, and classroom access will be available after 8:00 AM.

Why did I receive a training disenrollment email?

Generally, the only reason for disenrollment is if payment arrangements have not been made within one week of the scheduled class date. Please contact Toshiba immediately if you are disenrolled but still want to attend the class. Toshiba is not liable for expenses incurred as a result of disenrollment due to non-payment of tuition. Students arriving for class without payment arrangements will not be allowed to attend class.

What do I do if I did not receive a training enrollment confirmation?

When enrolling in classes requirement payment, there will be two types of confirmation emails. An automated enrollment confirmation will be sent immediately. An enrollment approval email will be sent once payment arrangements are made with Toshiba. Due to frequent enrollment changes by attendees, Toshiba does not typically contact the student until one month prior to the scheduled class date to finalize payment arrangements. If you wish to make payment arrangements sooner, please contact us at TIC-Service@toshiba.com. Students who have not made payment arrangements within one week of class convening are contacted. If no reply is received, students are disenrolled. See also “How do I pay for training?”.

I have an ASD used in a synchronous transfer application. It has a PLC that might be obsolete. What is the best program for me?

An upgrade of PLCs in an ASD is one of the services offered by our Custom Modification Program. TIC engineers will analyze the original project drawings and PLC program, and revise them as necessary to accommodate the new Toshiba PLC. Our field representatives will then upgrade the PLC in the field and test the ASD-motor-load system for proper operation.
