Toshiba Standards of Conduct

The Standards of Conduct for Toshiba Group serves as a practical guide to translating our management into everyday actions. These standards ensure that our operations are carried out with fairness, integrity and transparency, fostering trust and contributing to a sustainable society. The Standards of Conduct have evolved to address social and environmental changes by increasing emphasis on human rights, supply chain management, and compliance awareness. These standards apply to all directors, employees, advisors, and contract employees within Toshiba Group companies.

Toshiba Americas Group Business Partner Code of Conduct

The Toshiba Americas Group Business Partner Code of Conduct underscores our dedication to working with partners who share our commitment to social, environmental, and ethical responsibility.  The Conduct outlines the standards we expect our business partners to adhere to, beyond merely fulfilling their contractual obligations.  We require our partners to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, while conducting their business in alignment with The Essence of Toshiba and our corporate values.  The Code applies to agents, consultants, distributors, sub-contractors, and all suppliers of good and services to the Toshiba America Group.

FORCED LABOUR AND CHILD LABOUR IN SUPPLY CHAINS ACT

Toshiba Americas Group is firmly committed to eradicating forced labor and child labor within our operations and supply chains. In accordance with the Fighting Against Force Labour and Child Labor in Supply Chains Act (S.C. 2023, c.9), we have implemented comprehensive initiatives to prevent such practices within our organization and among our suppliers during FY 2023. Our actions are guided by the Basic Commitment of Toshiba Group, which emphasizes respect for the human rights of all stakeholders, including our employees, customers, and suppliers. We support and uphold universal human rights principles, including those outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Speak-Up Line

At Toshiba America Group, we encourage all employees and people who interact with Toshiba to speak up and raise concerns in good faith about violations of company policies or the law.  To the extent permitted by law, reports can be made anonymously. Retaliation against anyone who in good faith reports a concern to Toshiba is strictly prohibited.
